How do you change the cigarette outlet to be on at all times? I know people have posted on the forum before about clicking it over but how exactly do you do that? Do you need to switch it on the fuse panel? Where is the fuse panel? Is there a how to for tinting turn signals and tail lights, if not how is it done? Should I use night shade for both or do you recommend using something else? What kind of prep do you need before spraying them? How do you take them out? |

To answer the tinting question- I used rustolium lens tent but night shade is a good product too. As for prep work i cleaned and sanded the lenses with 2000 grit sand paper. After I used a rubbing compound on the lenses and then thoroughly cleaned the compound off ( this makes sure the lens is smooth and reduces the nicks). At this time I taped the parts I wanted to keep unpainted. I then applied two coats of lens tent to the rear lenses and only one to the front/ turn sigs. Hope this helps

As for the cigarette lighter, move the fuse in the fuse box under the hood over one. It's pretty obvious which fuse you need when you look at it. There should be a diagram in the OM too |

It should be a yellow 20 amp fuse. In the fuse box under the hood. When you pull the fuse out, one of the fuse blades will occupy the hole in the fuse block where the other blade was pushed in. In other words, there are 3 holes for the fuse but only 2 are occupied at the same time. You are only moving the fuse over 1 hole (which has constant power to that side of the fuse). If in doubt get a cheap 12 volt electrical tester and test each opening where you pulled the fuse from. See which one lights up when the ignition is off. Make sure one of the fuse blades is in that hole. |

I had to put in LED tail lights to prevent the melting lens problem. I could see mine starting to deform shortly after tinting. open the trunk, remove two bolts per light, pull straight back on the lights to "snap" them out, but be careful not to scratch the bumper, then disconnect the wire harness |

I had to replace my btail light bulds and sctached the bumper... I need to buff that out... I almost would say wash the Jeep first. THen use Painters tape, and mask off the bumper first when the tail light move out... I will do that next time. |
