I've heard a lot of things about highway done with the super 44. If you have a muffler that's such an aggressive sound there's going to be interior noise. I decided to go with the 50 because I didn't want as much drone.

I'm not sure what the difference in sound is between keeping the resonator on or removing it. I have the super 44 and left the resonator in place, I was also concerned about the muffler being too loud. Personally the sound is perfect for me, i wouldn't think twice about doing it again. Very nice sound and not annoying in the cab.

The purpose of a resonator is to eliminate certain frequencies of the exhaust sound, and make it quieter overall. With the resonator off the exhaust sound would be louder and most likely a little higher pitched.

If you are worried about drone have you checked out the dynomax vt muffler? It is supposed to eliminate a lot of drone while not sacrificing performance.

I have the Super 44 on my Jeep with no resonator. Being stationed in Germany, I have the opportunity to drive 100+ mph down the autobahn. Surprisingly enough, the interior noise doesn't bother me much. Combined with the regular road noise, the wind, and radio, I can barely hear it droning. I was actually surprised by the sound (quietness) while doing 100mph in 6th gear down it

Hope this helps.
