Hi Folks,
first of all nice greetz. I got an offer for an Cherokee Liberty Bj 2008 with a front accident. Driver Airbag deploys, but the damage of car body seems small(Front Bumper and Engine Roof + Front lamp). Question is, are the Airbags resetable or must i buy a new controlbox? As i know..the Airbag cost approx 350$, but a controlbox over 1000$! I dont get these information from my dealer, but maybe here somneone knows a little bit more about. It could be a cheap entrance in the world of Jeep Cherokee KK, but if the repair costs are higher than to buy a new one, it makes no sense.
Would be great to get some usable hints and sorry if my language isnt perfect :)

Dont know if they reset-able, and if they are i wouldn't trust it at all. It may be costly but just for the safety of it all i would look into replacing the air bag and the repair costs of the damaged parts. You never know, there may be damage you cant see now and will turn up down the road. accidents have a nasty habit of causing hidden damage.

x2 I wouldn't want to reuse the control module and then get into another accident down the road and not have the airbags deploy.
