I hear some people say they do not make a difference on our kk and some others say do it. The guys that have them what do you think? I see some on ebay that are cheap. I already have muffler and stage 2 chip and was just looking for alittle more out of it. How does it sound also? Trying to get motor squared away before the lift. Gotta order my Amsoil stuff as it has 44,000 miles and I want to knock all fluid changes out and full tune up |

I have the K&N Cold Air Intake for my Harley and it made a BIG difference, more power and crisper throttle response. The Harley dyno numbers show about a 10hp gain with a cold air (with velocity stack). While I have more power on the Harley, I drive it more aggressively, and my gas mileage dropped from about 45mpg to 35mpg - but I also added a Power Commander to remap the ECU controls to the fuel injectors. I was so happy with the K&N Kit for the Harley, I bought the Cold Air Kit for my KK, but I haven't installed it yet. I have bought a Fuel Economy meter for my KK and I'm monitoring the mileage I'm getting now, so when I install it I want to see if I get any better mileage. I heard I might get 1-2 miles per gallon better mileage with the Cold Air Kit, which the main reason I got it. Auto Meter 9100 ECO Meter is the gadget I got for monitoring the fuel economy, it plugs into the OBDII port and gives realtime and average mileage, as well as some other stats. BTW Amazon seemed to have the best price for the Cold Air Intake, and free shipping and no tax |

I had the k&n fipk intake on a 02 tacoma v6 and loved it. Fast throttle response, a little more power and better mpgs. I built my own for the kk using a k&n cone and was very dissapointed. No difference at all, so i removed it. Heres what it looked like:
