So I went to the LA Auto Show Friday and finally sat in a KK, the "Arctic Model". While I didn't care for the looks so much I did like the Jeep overall and am now considering it as a KJ replacement. I like how the back seat folds flat and how the interior seems bigger than the KJ (is it?) and better for putting in a good overlanding set up. I also liked the fancy options like DVD and navigation, etc. I don't like the new "flip switch" transfer case selector, sure to break IMO.

Much more needs to be researched of course. Lift, snorkel, armor, rack, bumpers....

Looking for input, opinions of the KK for camping /wheeling , things to look out for, things to consider...

Basically I want to re-create the KJ in my avatar with a KK. Thanks to all...!

The interior isn't any bigger up front. There's more rear cargo room, I think it has a little bit more rear legroom.

You can re-create your KJ.... minus the ARB.

The front passenger seat folds flat. You could fit some planks or a surf board in there. The switch for the 4x4 has been gtg for most. I haven't heard any horror stories. They don't make bumpers for kk yet, but everything else on your list.

I would jump on a kk before the new pussified model comes out in 2013/2014. It's going to"compete with rav4 and escape". It'll be front wheel drive garbage

I bet I have taken a Rav 4 more places than 99.5% of KK owners have. The back roads in Tanzania are worse than most all off road parks and I've traveled quite a few of them without any problems in a 4 wheel drive Rav
No not my favorite vehicle but my wife likes it so its what we have there
