Bought a set of HIDs off of Amazon, brand is Clearview, $50 for 6000k HID low, halogen high. Installed on 2009 KK.

And of course, they flicker :banghead: SO, I ordered these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002O95M3K/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details

Praying to the HID gods that this fixes the problem. If not I will have no problem returning both and starting over, the High setting halogen light is horrible anyway. Next will definitely be Bi-Xenon

Easy install though :D now if they'd just work.

Has anyone tried to aim headlights lower with HIDs in them? Any help? Got flashed a good 10 times tonight alone (and not in a good way :ROTFL: )

Has anyone tried or heard anything about these?

They come with "no flicker guarantee," bit more expensive but I think my 2nd attempt should be more then $50 range

Best thing is to remove the junk put in good bulbs that are made for your vehicle and be done
Blinding another driver is not cool at all although some think its really funny

+1 ... HIDs do not belong in our vehicle, hence why everyone is always having problems with the install and you get flashed from other drivers all the time. A set of Sylvania SilverStar Ultra (H13/9008) bulbs will be a great improvement over stock and you won't get flashed.

There will always be the argument against putting HID's in a reflector housing that wasn't designed for it. Check if they need to be aimed down a little to avoid blinding the oncoming traffic. As far as the amazon HID's are concerned, its not always "you get what you pay for". I have been buying ebay HID conversion sets for the last 5 years, on every car i have owned. I search on buy it now/lowest price first/US sellers only. I have had 2 bulbs burn in under 6 months...you can get a replacement bulb set for $12, so your still ahead of the game. I have never had a ballast go bad. Get a set of the bi-xenon for $50, i havent tried these out yet. I plan on picking up a set of these after the winter. As of now, i have the HID low with the halogen hi attached to it....the Hi is useless.

I understand the HID lights weren't designed for our headlight housings and everything. However, the improvement is worth the headaches if you ask me, it's just a matter of getting them to work correctly. I aimed the headlights down quite a bit today so hopefully that fixes the getting flashed issue. Spitfire: I think I'm going to try those bi-xenon on Ebay and see where that gets me, waiting for refund still... if they don't work I'm going to splurge on a kit from hidextra.com. Thanks for the help!

Just in case you missed my last post "A set of Sylvania SilverStar Ultra (H13/9008) bulbs will be a great improvement over stock and you won't get flashed." and there will be no "headache" or kit reorders.

I think our housing is too large to have a small single projector in, it just looks odd. I installed a set on my zx-6 and they looked great, but on a Jeep... I would really have to see them in person to be sold on it.

Is there an easy way to aim your headlights lower? Ever since I put my lift on and leveled mine my lows shoot over the road rather than on it.

Real easy. There is a write up in the tech section for it thanks to Diggerfreek. I didn't do all the measuring and taping lines or anything, just pulled up to a wall and lowered them a little. It improved the on road lighting for sure.
