No, that is the max pressure the tire can handle, but under normal vehicle weights that will be a little much. I usually run between 32 and 35 psi on my tires. Now if your going to be towing i would give it some more psi in the back to make the tire more firm. Also, if I must put more psi due to added weight I usually still try to keep it more then 2.5psi below max pressure. The actual tire pressure really depends on your driving style. You want to have a good balence between comfort and LRR(Low Rolling Resistance) to save gas. Also if your psi is too high your tires will wear in the center unevenly. if its too low they will wear on
Both sides leaving a high spot in the middle. In California every tire shop must by law fill tires to Door Specs, that's a good spot to look for your recommended tire pressure on any car, regardless of tire(unless tire cannot handle that pressure, then you need to get different tires).
Hope that helps.
P.S. Lower presser makes a less "Bumpy" ride but more "Bouncy" Higher pressure is more "Bumpy" less "Bouncy" .And with any off road tires most people will drop pressure to between 8-15 psi when off Roading, however I do not recommend this with any rims other then cheapo steelies that you can pound out dents and dings with a mallet when you pop your tire of your rim and ding it real good.
