I just purchased a 2011 Jeep Liberty and want some extra ground clearance. I searched on the web and I found those two lifts that I can afford now 1. daystar 2.5" lift 2. rock krawler lift Which one should I go for? AGAIN! I can not afford the suspension lift yet. (COLLEGE STUDENT) |

A lot of people say the rock krawler is garbage because they send their kit out with grade 5 hardware. I replaced my hardware with grade 8 and never had any problems with it. Not to mention the install is much easier cause you don't have to completely disassemble the suspension and remove a bunch of crap just to get to the top end. |

I had the RK lift on my 08 and never had any issues with the kit or the supplied hardware. Love the kit and had a lot of fun wheeling with the kit. You will need new rear shocks with any of the lift kits so make sure you factor that into your budget. |

I heard that they stopped sending out the bad grade hardware. Good luck and enjoy |

Sure the rk lift is easy to install but its $300. A set of ome springs is $320. You still need longer rear shocks, alignment and bumpstops with either lifts. If you can spend $300 why not spend $20 more for good lift springs? You can always upgrade the front shocks later. If you are super hard up for cash just do the daystar until you can get the spring lift. But remember with any lift you'll need longer rear shocks, bumpstops and an alignment. |

Thank you for the advice. I will consider that. Would you mind if you provide more information about the suspension lift like the front and rear parts. I am will to spend a little bit more if it gonna last longer. I also heard people talking about the A-arm ( It's for the front suspension...right?) Do I need to replace that or I can use the stock one? Thank you so much for all the info. |

I am running rustys 2.5" budget lift ( don't think they sell it anymore) with stock uca and havnt had any issues. I think anything over 2.5" of lift you probably would need it. |

Part numbers: Old man emu front springs- 2790 (hd crd springs for deisel or steel bumper and winch) 2927 (hd and most popular) 2926 (md ) 2925 (stock spring rate) Rear old man emu springs 2731 (medium duty) Front bumpstops Teraflex liberty bumpstops Rear bumpstops Two hockey pucks per side bolted to lower spring perch. Rear shocks Bilstein – F4-BE5-6458-H6 (better) Old man emu, but i don't have a pn off the top of my head. Skyjacker h7071 will work. Thats what I've been running for 18months or so and no complaints other than kind of a squishy sound for the first 6 months. Even if you run rear spacers i still recommend filling them in because they are hollow. |

So those all the only things I needed...The rest of the stuff I can use the stock one such as suspension strut...etc? Thank you again for the information! |

Most would tell you to upgrade the front shocks while you have the assembly removed so have a better ride and you'll be done. I think you'll be fine for a while with stock front shocks since you have a newer kk. The oem front shocks are the same size even if you put taller springs on them. Rear shocks must be longer though. |

I know this topics kinda old but I'm thinking about doing this now and was wondering if it would be ok to get the 2790's even thought I have neither a steel bumper or a winch, I do plan on getting the backbone winch plate in the future(if that makes a difference). Or would the 2927's be the better buy? |

927s 790s would be way too rough of a ride without the extra weight |
