yesterday I took my jeep onto the beach for the first time this season and while driving the temperature light came on. when i looked at the temperature gauge it was at half and never went over half but the light remained on. When the light came on i turned my heat up all the way and left the beach shortly after. When I got back on the road the light went away. I went to the beach all last summer and I never had any issues or lights appear on my dashboard. I asked a few other people what they thought and think i should get it checked out because not only did the light go on but yesterday i traveled about 100 miles and burned a little over a half a tank. I know I'm not going to get great mileage because I don't have stock tires and I have skids but I should definitely be getting better than 200 miles to a tank of gas. Also, I went to rausch creek last August and my gas tank skid has a dent in it. Ever since rausch I noticed my mileage has been crappy. I don't know if the two issues are related but if anyone has any suggestions its greatly appreciated.

I only get about 140 mpg to a half tank so 100 isn't TO far off in my opinion. I had a similar temp thing when I first got the jeep and it was my heater core going..and eventually taking a dump. May be something worth having looked at.

Hmm, I have a dent in my fuel tank from Rausch too. I see about 200 miles per tank on average so that mileage doesn't sound too off to me, although it has picked up quite a bit now that there's no longer crappy winter fuel (about 230 miles per tank).
