So not sure if any one else has had this problem but my ac STINKS!! It does t produce cold air any more..

I tried one of those pep boys in home kits and it was terrible..said my system was super full already..made me think of emptying it a little..

run your a/c normally when driving...then approx 10 mins before stopping, tun the a/c off, leaving the fan only blowing. You may have to do this a few times before you smell the difference....and you should also do this about once a week to dry off the coils where the slime/fungus grows.

have you verified the compressor clutch is functoning? how long does the clutch remain engaged? the system has high and low pressure switches, as well as monitoring the ambient temperature. what does the vehicle report as the outside temp?

Vehicle reports correct temp out side and the pressure seem correct..in taking it in this week to have a dealer run a diagnostic

Mine is horrible too. Its had the A/C TSB reflash and that didn't do squat. My compressor started banging right before it went out of warranty. Took it to Jeep dealer in Florence AL and they said they put a belt on it under warranty and that fixed it............I have now discovered they also tripple filled it with oil to make it quit knocking instead of fixing it ( I only had 2K of warranty left). My 96 Cherokee has better air.....

Have you checked the filter? It's behind the glove box. Mine was working like crap too until I changed it. Whatever you do though, don't run the fan for very long without a filter, the coil will get plugged and then the real problems will start.

I'll take a look at the cabin filter.

I ended up just filling it and figuring ilm deal with it when I get back from afghanistan haha.
