I took a quick look through the forum and didn't find anything that helped me. Mostly everything I am finding here and elsewhere online has to do with wind noise. My problem right now is my roof is not opening at all. One day last week it just stopped working, nothing happened. We popped the panel off where the switch is and wiggled the wires just to get one more open and close out of it. It is not making any noise at all. My Liberty is an '09 and I haven't had any other issues with the roof at all. Does anyone have some advice, experience or trouble shooting ideas that might help? I am of course outside of my warranty and do not want to have to spend the money at the dealership unless I absolutely have to. Thanks in advance for any help at all. |

I don't have a skyslider but for any electrical thing that stops working, a good test is to use a multimeter to see if it is getting power when you turn it on. Since you know where the wires are, this shouldn't be too hard. This test will tell you if the problem is with the skyslider itself or with a switch closer to the battery. |

I have the same issue and had it checked out. Was told that the open/close switch was bad. Part is on order. I don't have the paperwork on me but pretty sure the switch is just over $200. Mine is an '09 as well. |
