Hey folks-

Time for new tires on the KK. It's got LT 225/75 R16s on them right now.

There are lots of options in this size:
BFG AT KO
Kumho KL61
TBC Wild Country XTX Sport
Michelin LTX AT2
Hankook DynaPro ATM
Firestone Transforce AT

I would like to go to a bigger size - the consensus seems to be that you can't go bigger than a 245/70 R16 without a lift. This narrows the options down to:
BFG AT KO at $234/tire here in BC, Canada - This is what I am running on my Comanche but it's a little aggressive for all the street driving we do.

I have two questions for the forum:

Does anyone know of another LT 245/70 or 235/75 R16 All Terrain with Mountain/Snowflake rating?

Is anyone here running a 245/75 R16 or 215/85 R16 on a KK without a lift?
Note: I realize these tire sizes are 1" taller than stock; love this tool: http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
Minor rubbage/scuffage at full lock/articulation and/or pinch weld flattening would be OK

Hey!

Other AT tires I can think of with the snowflake symbol are :

General Grabber AT2's
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's (the only size in these that might fit you is 225 75 16's...same as stock...but it is also avail in 245 75 16)

Go with the wrangler duratrac it's an amazing tire and it's not loud. I had 35s and I loved them

Duratracs for the win. I have them in 225/75R16 and they are great in all weather conditions, especially snow. Two friends of mine also have them on their Tacomas and love them.

I found this site really helpful for finding tires that come in specific sizes http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

+1 for DuraTracs

They don't come in those sizes. Your choice would be 225-75-16, or 245-75-16.

For other sizes I'd recommend Cooper tires. They have the S/T, S/TMaxx
