Been tossing around the idea of keeping the liberty or trading off into something else. If i can purchase this warranty, i would keep the KK till the wheels fall off. (then i'd get em put back on and keep going)

http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/pricing/index.cfm are these for real? are they aftermarket or chrysler certified warranties. I would hate to purchase it and it not be honored at any dealership around. Any insight on this? Sure would make driving the KK a lot more peaceful on my mind. I'm out of my 36,000 mile warranty so I'm cautious lately.

Im not sure if it is a Chrysler warranty. I would contact a local dealer and see if they honor that company.

it looks like Chrysler to me....check it out via BBB.org

also - you can use them to shop against your local dealer(s).

Those are 100% Chrysler service contracts from that website.

Lifetime warranties are exactly that.

...there's one catch....

They won't pay (or won't pay the full amount) when the vehicle is worth less than the repair. I haven't figured out which one is truth. So if you require an engine replacement, and the vehicle is worth $3000, I'm not sure what the outcome will be.

Just as a bump.

This may be my first post but I learned something about the warranties for Chrysler. Prior to my KK (just bought a week ago) I had a 2010 Patriot and hated it. I melted through the 36k B2B in no time. Car started to poo out and got expensive quick. They wanted me to trade it in for a new car. I said that I wouldn't buy another Jeep unless they better their warranty on it for that a lot of dealers are making longer warranties standard. They gave me a 5yr 100k B2B for nearly nothing.

Just an FYI. You can negotiate this stuff.

I won't sell my Liberty because it has a lifetime powertrain warranty. I've already used it once when I burned up a transmission at 41k. Didn't cost me a cent to repair but made me miss our early deer season.

There is one more catch to the lifetime powertrain warranty.
You have to go in every 5 years and have an inspection done.

If you don't the warranty is void.

Boy am I glad you mentioned that, my dealership just confirmed that info. Odd part is even thou I had my transmission replaced last year I still have to come in at the 5 year anniversary for inspection. Thanks again.
