alright as the title implies, I was wondering about the possibility of a long travel Liberty like a prerunner. I am most likely going to get crucified for this but bear with me. The KK already has ifs so thats a plus (even though most of the suspension would probably need to be rebuilt). I'm sure it's wheelbase is long enough as well. Now what's hindering the possibility of this is how small its wheel wells are, it's weight, and power. Custom fenders(front and rear) with huge wheel wells is a necessity as well as an engine swap. Some trimming of the fat to make it lighter would help. I've always loved prerunners and and i thought that a KK prerunner would be pretty darn unique. Please keep in mind this is just an idea and will probably never happen. I would just like to hear some thoughts on it. |

I'd like to see it done, but i really don't think the wb is long enough. Xj prerunners are out there but look pretty squirrely when racing. |

I also have bee a fan of the prerunner look, pocket fenders long travel, all that stuff. Now the thing is how much custom work are you willing to do and how much are you willing to spend. I had plans to get a true long travel when I had my FJC but it would have set me back nearly 3gs just for the kit without coilovers. In theory it would still work even though the wheelbase is a little short but the KK is 2inches longer than the KJ. If you really start looking into I'd be interested in going this route also. |
