I have seen the part numbers and prices for the Mopar skid plates...

Are they the only choice?

All the Skid row stuff only lists fitment for KJ's...

I will not be hitting anything extreme - just want to have some protection for fire roads and the like... My YJ gets the beating - LOL

I just did skid plates last month. Here is my thread, which has lots of info on the Mopar parts you'll need (5 skids) and links to important tips for installing them. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=69504

I ordered everything from FactoryMoparParts.com because I could get all 5 skids there, and they had the most competitive pricing I could find. Shipping for everything was only something like $35. You'll need to get two nutserts for the radiator skid as well, which I picked up at my local Jeep dealer.

I looked at other skid plate companies, but their products were either lots more expensive or didn't have skids for all of the locations the Mopar skids cover. They are beefier, I imagine, which would account for the higher price. I use my Jeep on fire roads too, and am pretty sure the Mopar skids will protect it from everything I will encounter out there.

Let me know if you have any ordering or installation questions, as I just went through the whole process last month. I'm glad to help.

Check with your local dealer they might meet or beat Internet price with out shipping fees. My dealer beat those price by 10 percent, on the MOPAR accessories. Not the Radiator skid that's a replacement part, gave me little over his cost for it.
I did mine a few years ago.
