Post subject:  Lift Modifications?

I have a 2010 KK that currently has 40,000 miles on it that I lifted last year with the Rock Krawler 3.5 Inch X Factor System. I know the negative rep this lift has, but it's what I went with when I did it last year. Thing is, however, the front of the Jeep sits one inch lower than the back. My simple question is this. Which would be the better of the options I'm considering for getting the Jeep level? Adjusting the clevis, getting new OEM front springs, or ditching the Rock Krawler clevis outright and going with Old Man Emu or Iron Man lift springs up front? I don't have a lot of extra money to spend, so I plan on leaving the rear spacer as is for now.

What are the measurements front and rear from the center of the wheel to the bottom edge of the fender flare?
You can add a 1/4" top plate and gap the clevis 1/4" to give you about 1" of front lift.
But, you can only go so high before the factory uca's hit the spring.

Front: 20.25"
Rear: 21"

Putting a 3/8" gap in the clevis would be the easiest way to level it out.
If you are considering a full spring lift i suggest saving up till you can upgrade the shocks too and get it done at once. You could do the front first then wait to do the rear. Thats what i'm doing.

Just do an OME full spring lift with new shocks and you'll have the lift and a whole lot better ride as well

If I were to go this route, would I be able to get the Jeep level. That's the most important thing for me right now. I can't stand the forward leaning stance.

Do the clevis lift. Upgrade when you can afford it

Hard for me to say for sure.
But i will say this:
Ome 927s with one conduit nut per side and my 70lb steel bumper puts me at 21 1/8" on the driver side and 21 7/8" on the passenger side. I can't remember the exact measurements with the bumper and no clevis lift, but i think it was 21-21.5"
So i think 927s should make it levelish with no extra clevis lift, within 1/4-3/8" variance from the rear after it settles. You could add an extra isolator to the rear to bring it up 1/4" or so. When you put in the rear spacers did you move the lower spring isolator to the top or not use it? You can stack two iso's on the top of the rear springs.

Figured I'd put a pic up to show just how front forward the Jeep leans. I Used a grid layer in Photoshop to further illustrate it. The tech basically lifted the Jeep, but kept the factory rake. Some may like this appearance, but I don't.

Looks good but I'm more for level lift overall

Has the front sagged down like that since you installed the lift or is this a new thing?

Post subject:  Re: Lift Modifications?

You use a lift that gave you the same amount of lift front and rear
it had a forward rake before so of course it would have it afterwards
Clevis lift of 3/8 of an inch gives you 3/4 inch of lift
of course then another alignment will be needed afterwards

Question:

Floating or conduit nuts for a clevis lift, and if conduit nuts, where to find them and what size would I need? Also, I would imagine that the strut has to come completely off of the clevis to get the conduit nuts in there, correct?

2 inch conduit nuts available at any hardware store
Don't need them since they are mainly to make sure you get both sides equal
3 of them per side is 3/8 of an inch
Yes you have to completely remove the clevis to install the conduit nuts if you want to go that route

Did the clevis lift this past Wednesday. It'll be going for an alignment this Saturday, and then, possibly new tires.
