Looking at doing my first lift and want to make sure I'm doing it right.

jeepinbyal.com/prod-OME_1_50__lift_kit-776.aspx

Was going to get the ome 2927 fronts and 2731 rears with the 132L shocks.

Few questions..Is this the recommended set up for someone not adding a backbone system? Will there be anything else I need to add to this kit like spacers or anything? What amount of lift should i he expecting once the springs settle a bit? And should I get the upgraded a-arms?

You'll get about 2.5-3" of lift with that set up.
Another thing you need are teraflex front bumpstops and rear bumpstops. Jeepinbyal has their rear bumpstops or you can use two hockey pucks (per side) bolted to the lower spring perch inside the spring.

Don't have to right away BUT it sure does make it easier to align and will last longer

Ok, sorry to be asking questions I know you have all answered hundreds of times but I wanna do this right the first time lol

This is what I am buying as of now:

Al's 4.5 A arms

Front:
OME2927
NS131
2x teraflex bump stops http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-TeraFlex_Bump_Stop-653.aspx

Rear:
OME2731
N132L
2x JBA rear 4'' bumpstops

So two (hopefully) final questions. First, once i get this i will have to remove the oem struts and re-use the top plate correct? Where can i get someone to assemble the new strut for that at?
Also, am I forgetting to order anything? lol

Thanks for all the help, i really appreciate it! I'm new to modding my car but you guys have been great.

you don't need 4 inches of bumpstops 2 is plenty
you can get any shop that does front end type work to compress the springs
and yes you need to use the old parts from your current setup for the front
Just pull the front out, take the new shocks and springs along with the current shock assembly in and they switch it all out

Write up?
very easy to do, its been gone through 100s of times over the years
look through the various posts on lifts
also read through the Frankenlift install on www.boulderbars.com
it's fairly good

Hope I'm not too late to chime in but if you have a KK, you'll need the 5.5 arms and you can cut 2" off from Al's rear bump stop, they're designed to be cut to fit. Hockey pucks wouldn't fit in my springs. :2cents:

So even though that OME kit says 1.5" lift, it gets more than that? Is that just cause of the HD springs?

Not really
It has to do with the way they are advertised in Australia for insurance reasons.
Funny thing is all of the discussions in the KK section about lifts have been discussed many times in the KJ section over the last 10 years.
