While installing a heated seat kit I accidentally broke the plastic clips off both plastic seat belt anchor covers. The tabs just wouldn't release from the plastic seat trim. I tried epoxying the plastic tabs back on, but the glue won't stick and the covers won't stay on the seats without clips. I know the covers are not completely necessary, but I like the interior of my Jeep to look nice so I want to replace them. According to the MOPAR factory parts manual, these should be the part numbers: [drivers side] COVER, Seat Belt Anchor 1DX41BD5AA 1 J, T, U 74 *M7 [DA] 1DX41DK2AA 1 J, T, U 74 *M7 [KA] [passengers side] COVER, Seat Belt Anchor 1DX40BD5AA 1 J, T, U 74 *M7 [DA] 1DX40DK2AA 1 J, T, U 74 *M7 [KA] I can look up these part numbers on many Mopar parts websites, but the problem is I don't know what interior colors these trim pieces are. I need slate gray. Does anyone know which part numbers correspond with which interior colors? I'm hoping there is a Jeep employee on here who can help me out. (Marlon? P.S. The numbers molded into the back of my broken seatbelt anchor covers do not come up as anything on Google. FWIW, they are [Left] 1364897 LH and [right] 1364900 RH. Thanks! There is a parts book in the tech section. At the beginning of the interior section it gives the color numbers. |

Unfortunately the parts manual fails to identify the color codes. I did find the answer last night after a long internet search. None of the Mopar parts sellers have both part numbers and colors. Here is a junkyard website that saved the day: http://ecautosalvage.com/how-to-find-paint-codes-and-interior-trim-codes-on-your-jeep-grand-cherokee/ They have a nice article that explains how to match Jeep interior colors in good detail. Basically, look for the 4-digit trim code on your door jamb sticker - the one that has your VIN and your tire pressures printed on it. Here are a couple of pics from Grand Cherokees from ecautosalvage's webpage: 2000 Grand: ![]() 2004 Grand: ![]() In my case, my trim code is M7DA. So, for my gray interior, these are the correct MOPAR part numbers for the seat belt anchor covers: Drivers side: 1DX41BD5AA 1 J, T, U 74 *M7 [DA] Passengers side: 1DX40BD5AA 1 J, T, U 74 *M7 [DA] I hope this helps someone else looking to match a piece of interior trim! --LFH |
