While we all share Horror stories.. I would like to share a positive note. I recently had a lift installed at a dealership nearby. Well, not that near but near enough. Granted, there is a VERY BIG dealer down the road, not even 5 mins away but I've been at odds with how they pay attention to detail and if any shop mech's are reading this, it's sometimes the "little" things that can ruin your shop just as well.
To cut to the chase, after months of going back and forth, ticking off one of the mod's here and showing my "noob" side of the mechanics of our rigs, I got my lift from Marv at Jeepinbyall.
http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-OME_1_50__lift_kit-776.aspx. Took it in and left the KK in the hands of jim riehl's friendly chrysler jeep over in Warren Mich. They seem to be the only dealer in my area I'm aware of that will mod your jeep before driving it off the lot. I was told it would take 4 or 5 hours for the work and offered me a shuttle ride to my house (13 miles away). While talking to the service guy "Tim" who was writing me up, he asked if I needed a car instead of waiting around (no cost). I said sure, so he put me in a new 200. Well, it took the mech pretty much all day to get my Jeep back to road ready

. Guess the alignment wasn't going too well. But they only charged me the orig hours stated, gave me a free car for the day and even the General Manager, Joe (the owners soon), took a personal interest in the job (he's the one who handles the life department

) Drove off and that was that. 500.00 was the cost including the alignment. I was happy. I think they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. However, it doesn't end there.
I hit a Canadian goose a few months back and was waiting till after the lift before I got it repaired. I decided to take it to them also. Well, it's in their shop as we speak and though I don't have rental insurance, yep, they gave me another car for the week. They were going to even take care of a couple of "dings" in my hood, thanks to my fertilizer spreader that defied gravity and fell off the wall one evening putting a nice large dent in the hood. They have to paint the hood anyway so they said they would fix it up as part of the write up. So, needless to say, I'm so far very happy with the customer treatment they have extended my way. I also bought my 2011 Town and Country from the same place so I guess they take care of their customers. I'll post a pic or two of the Jeep but once it's all cleaned up and out of the shop, I'll put up some before/after shots of the lift.
The RED KJ is my 19 year old daughters. Her stepmom and I got it for her on her 16th bday. She's off at college and was allowed to keep it there for the first 90 days (insurance issues) so now it's back home for a bit.
