Post subject:  how many of you have worn out or replaced axles/u-joints on
i only plan on going 2-3 inches, how bad will this kill my front cv shafts and driveshaft u-joints? how much life will I kill from the drivetrain by doing the lift?

Not a KK but KJs are close :wink:
so with over 182,000 on the KJ (and over 160,000 miles lifted at 4 plus inches) my left side is needing replaced now, its still original yet. Right side has been replaced once when the intermediate shaft and the CV wore out.
Rear U-Joints were replaced with greaseable around 55,000 miles
That may help you some As always they are all wear items so some maybe replaced sooner / some later all depends
But don't let that stop you from lifting, no matter what its worth it

sorry i meant KK, i have a 2012. are the KKs better designed for that kinda stuff? anyone go through this stuff on a lifted kk?

Sorry ?
But if you look KJs and KKs are the same pretty much in the front
same springs / shocks etc to lift it

If your looking for numbers, then subtract 10 to 20 percent service life from the items listed
