Replacing my axles and wheel bearings on my 08 KK. I just did the drivers side about two weeks ago. I went thru hell finding the right axles to begin with, was sent KJ axles, then had to suck it up and by the drivers side axle from the stealership. So now I'm ready to do the passenger side, and same deal. NO ONE in the world apparently--except the stealership--has either axle in stock, NOR can their manufacturers order any. It's a "return and rebuild" part ONLY. How is this possible???

Moreover, the dealer quoted me MORE for the passenger side (shorter) axle. Wtf?! :banghead:

Well since the KK has been axed your on the mercy of when they get a order big enough to make any profit to break out the molds.

'06 and '07 KJ's are in the same boat,now '02-'05 KJ's have aftermarket axles.

Correct. Trust me, I've called/looked everywhere. The dealer is the ONLY person who can currently get an axle in for the KK, and it comes at a hefty price, of $218 or so, which is ~$70 more than the drivers side. Makes no effing sense to me at all.

For some reason they like to do that. When I bought new parking brake cables for disc brakes for my KJ the left and right cables are identical besides the support bracket is flipped 180 degrees between the 2,same bracket also, but $30 difference in price.

When I was in my accident the A pillar was on back order, 2 weeks. Buddy mentioned that MOPAR has their heads in the sand when it comes to having stuff on hand and handle things like crap. My truck was in the shop for over 5 weeks. Plus my ins rental was only for 30 days. Had to cough up the extra amount because of the stupid wait.

That's pretty much any place, they all have been reducing inventory over the last 2-3 years big time due to the poor economy.

Didn't you hear? The economy is at precrash/depression/drop rates. We are all rolling in the money. No reason to fear. (Can you sense the sarcasm?) ;)
