Rear Privacy Glass Question

Post subject:  Rear Privacy Glass Question
Hey anyone have privacy glass in the back who lives in MA, CT, NY, RI etc. I'm trying to get my jeep inspected and the mechanic told me my glass wasn't factory so id fail, but it came like that from the actual jeep dealership. Anyone have any advice?

i have the privacy glass and it matches my two front windows that are 20% pretty good. tell them its oem tinted glass and you didnt tint it so they have to pass it.

Ya NE sucks with stupid crap like this. The guy measured it and it was 10% I'm just gonna go somewhere else and hopefully they don't give me a hard time.

Inspections suck.
If it is actually factory tinted, bring your Window Sticker, it should say it.
Or, time to find another mechanic, I always bring it to the same guy who "takes care of me."

That is so annoying when they witch about cosmetic crap. He is probably just pissed because he drives a 74' pacer.

I'm pretty sure all of the KK's came with dark glass on the back windows. It's the front ones that they want to see through, that's why they don't match. I wouldn't worry about it, get it inspected or call the agency that is in charge of the inspections. They'll be able to tell you if that mechanic was correct or not. I'm thinking not.

Base models with no options did not come with any window tint

I've only noticed the tint on 2008-2009 models.

Lol no matter. Just got back from a different mechanic. He passed it without any question. That other guy was just a weirdo.
