Hello, a new topic on lights! Do you know how it is possible to change the logic between us logic and european logic? It's different for example in front of the car turn lights are never switched on continuosly as in USA. Do you know how to change it? |

Are you talking about the Daytime Running Lights that are always on? Not all models are equipped with this, such as mine. I would HATE that feature. The dealer would be able to help ya out with that one. Not sure if ya can do it by yourself. |

not exactly in fact i ve got european jeep and for example in front of my car the turn light is always stwitched off except when i turn, it altern between on and off. On us cars when front light are switched on turn lights are switched on with low luminance and when you turn it altern between low and bright. So do you know how to change : low bright low bright VS off bright off bright...? |

You're saying when you have your headlights on at night and turn, your turn signal turns all the way off and all the way on and repeats? That's strange. |

At night with the light switch turned to the "on" position, it should not happen. During the day with DRL, the headlight will turn off (on one side) when the turn signal is active on that side, so oncoming traffic can see the signal. Now if you are driving with the headlight switch only 1 click on (running lights) This may occur, but I am not 100% sure. |

I think he's referring to the front parking lights which are also turn signals staying on when the headlights are on. |

The dim lights that the European models use are a separate bulb within the headlamp assembly. The are commonly called city lights. I had them on a land rover discovery and they illuminated instead of the bulb in the turn signals. My Sprinter van has them as does my 300e. You'll also notice that Jeeps without amber rear turn signals in the USA have them added in European markets. Check out a European Wrangler. I've always wondered why we don't have the side panel turn signals like the Euro Spec cars have. I'd add them to my Jeep if I could. Anyone added them? |

We do not have the side marker lamps because US law does not require it. Many car manufacturers trying to save a buck do not include them in US spec vehicles. Many newer car companies are including them in the US, I think it makes a lot of sense. As for the reflectors in the rear bumper, thats because here in the US we have a reflector in the lowest red spot on the tail lights, whereas in EURO spec KJs, they have a rear fog light in that space. |
