I had crazy squeaky noise on my OME lift in the strut mount area when on the car so i took off. now looking at it i see the strut nut doesnt appear to be on all the way. and the strut mounts look nothing like my stock ones from my 2012 kk. my stock ones have a large flat washer under the strut nut......tell me what you guys think. I would hate to get rid of this. i can always throw it back on if i can figure it out and not have to play the guessing game if it will fix my squeaking. Keep in mind i got these mounts from JBA, they are moogs. I also payed JBA to preassemble them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You've also said something along the lines of "i'm done messing with it" and "it's cost so much already" I just think that after a month and numerous threads you would actually make up.your mind haha. Last I remember it was for sale still and a arms already sold? Not trying.to rude either but it creates clutter for the same topic that might never be resolved. |

Tighten it down some and see if it goes or not, plus KJ mount will work same as a KK mount |

I don't mean to be rude, but stop creating a new topic every week posting the same situation please. Every time I see a new thread I get exited and then when I open it I say '' Omg this crippled again complaining about his lift and selling it." I would be glad if you put your lift on and enjoy it for the 1st time. |

i think you still have the original the came from factory so go to auto zone, you can but the compressor and return it of a full refund i think, i have one that got from harbor freigth disassemble the factory and use your factory parts, plus you can see what is missing or not and the order things need to go. most likely i will be finishing my front tonight and if i see anything that i can add will let you know |

![]() ![]() looks like yours is upside down. this are my factory mounts. had an issue with the compressor so I need to return it and get a new one. then I will take a pic off all the components and its correct order |

Not upside down, just a different style of mount |

finished today and had to take the spring to a 4x4 shop. they even had a hard time compressing the HD's with a hydraulic spring compressor. installed and leveled it used Al's 1/4 top plate and 2 conduit nuts on the left and three on the right. test rode the car and actually I am very happy. not really any noises even with out the al.'s ucas the front hd at actually pretty good on the hiway the rear md feel kind of bumpy but maybe because they did not set yet I feel like us impossible to flex the front springs. don't even think they will ever touch the bump stop. I mall crawled a little over some pipes and found that now that I am higher cant go over them and my tire spins this is duds to the lack of flex on the front. that is the only think that so far bothers me. well see now back on the thread. I had noise at the street bump in the beginning, re torqued the front sway bar links (removed the bottom bolts) and the clevist strut conection and the noise is gone one thing I noticed on your pic is that the clavisnis not installed all the way in the strut. pics tomorrow |

yeap, just for grins, i took a strut to my local firestone, paid a kid 20 bucks to see if he could tighten the strut nut anymore.....guess what, he got it way on there.so now i know the squeaking was from the strut mount i feel so pist that i paid JBA to assemble strut and i paid them for the strut mounts, and they were KJ mounts, they knew i had a KK. i am gonna see if i can budget in a fix for this, i would buy new OEM strut mounts, and have them reinstalled the right way. The issue is I am saving for my first house and I already way over spent on this setup already......

Spent the same as I would have with parts, then local assembly. To me, it was worth the few extra bucks to know I was getting the correct product, and that it would be assemled correctly.

thats why i bought min pre assembled from JBA. i figured since there so well known here i would get the correct ready to go stuff.......not the case, if i would have done it locally myyself i am sure i would have been fine. |
