I've thought about getting rid of the sky slider( sun roof delete)
And add on a roof rack and put that puppy to use,
Often on road trips or camping I run out of space in side the jeep with camping supplies and 3 dogs in the back

Am I crazy for thinking about doing this?
Here's some photos I've googled

1.Sheet metal
2.rivet gun
3.bondo body filler
4.sand it all down and paint it
And done
Is this just a stupid idea
I've thought about just getting a
A new jeep but I really like my kk
And I'm almost done paying it off!

What about doing a glass on glass slider?
Something like this.

http://www.inalfa-roofsystems.com/ is the company which makes the standard sunroof for Jeep.
If you follow the above link, then click on "products & portfolio" then "Advanced roof systems". You will see what I'm talking about.
A rack would fit over the glass and you would have the best of both worlds.

I think RRO makes a set of rails and a rack that can go over the sky slider.

Although x2 on Scar0's idea, glass on glass would be a sweet way to go. Go big or go home right? :-)r

Why not add a roof rack and just not use the skyslider? Saves the resale value and less money spend on your end.

I throw on crossbars in the winter when I'm not using the skyslider but RRO does make crossbars that will go over the skyslider. I'll bet it looks pretty dumb though
