Any new mod in mind that you can share... :SOMBRERO:
I am planning to put a step light as it will light up when the door is open. The light will connect to the foot well light under the the front dash. I will put a switch somewhere to detect if the car is in motion on not. if car is in motion. the light will be disconnect even if you use the interior light switch to turn on all the lights. the outside step light will remain off. :frankie:

Any new idea(s)?

Cool idea. The mods I've been keeping my eyes and ears open for are the 4.7 throttle body being installed in place of the 3.7 throttle body.

Are you planning on doing this with LEDs?

Just curious why you would put a 4.7 in place of the 3.7? are you looking for more flow?

wouldn't that affect an air mix ratio somewhere down the line?

I don't know if you can still order from him but there is a Fastman Throttle body for our 3.7 which is basically o bored out version of what we currently have.

Does it make it sounds better or it will improve the performance of the Jeep?
:banghead: I don't know anything about this thing. :ROTFL:

There's a thread over on JF that talks about this more in depth. Just so it doesn't hijack this one.

I added some puddle lights under my side mirrors, a nice thin waterproof bright LED strip. It's on there with some 3M tape, hasn't moved in a looooong time.
Lights up the ground pretty well.
I tapped directly into the footwell lamps, I wasn't worries about puttling too much draw from the thin stock wiring, because these are LEDs and aren't on for too long at a time.

That's nice...I am planning to run the paddle light under the doors... Same idea...I tap it to the foot well lamps... But I am working on the switch to control the puddle light. we can turn on all the interior light by the light switch....so I don't want the puddle light to be on while I am drive...so I will keep working on the switch and post more update later.

i like those LEDs also, how did you make them go on and off with the interior i assume you tapped directly to a line on the done lamps?

I've been eying of these Jeep logo projector puddle lights on eBay, never stopped to think about tapping into the footwell lights. LEDs use so little power and the footwell lights wouldn't be on for long so not really concerned about these being on with the doors closed.

I have these as my puddle lights :D When I install I'm debating drilling into the plastic "rock guard" below the door sill. I'll be setting them up on a switch however so I can turn them on without doors being open.

But I don't want my whole led strips light up when turn on the light to look for something when I am at the light...

I am trying to stay "LOW PROFILE"...

I've been meaning to add another LED to the bottom of the door or under the Jeep.
If you want it to be completely automatic when you're driving your Jeep, use a relay, maybe you can tap into the transmission when the Jeep is in gear. Or it only goes on if you are in park.

If you want more control over it, you can use a manual switch.
I have this set up for my offroad lights and reverse lights.

I modified my current LED DRL...OEM LED DRL is dimmed when the headlight turned on. Mine doesn't do that. So I want t=it to look like OEM DRL. I got a 5 pin relay and 20 ohm 1/2 watts resistors and connected all of them together... Now my DRL will dim when the headlight is on. :grim:

I actually have a VIP lighting kit i had for my xB that i never wired up and I'm planning to use it for the Liberty. I figure it might be cool as offroad lights also.

This is the kit and you get the basic idea.
One way to wire it is to the overhead lights inside, that way when you open the door there is light.
