So I'm finally starting to get time to install my lift. I went with the OME 927/731 with Bilstein shocks all around. I also have the 1/4" spacer plates, rear isos and plan on doing a clevis lift. Anyone have any tips or tricks for installing the lift? I know Tom is bound to have something with the amount of lifts he does lol. Also anything special I should know about before starting? Edit: Completely forgot to mention that I got Al's A-arms as well. |

Pretty easy to do yourself, recommend having the springs and shocks assembled at a shop though. Just bring them the oem assembly along with your new springs and front shocks. I did my 927s myself, twice, but next time would gladly pay a shop to do it. Like Musclez said use some 1/2" washers to shim out the rear bilsteins or you'll get a clunkedy clunk. Those shocks are pretty stiff, I bolted up the top then used a floor jack to raise the shock into the lower mounts. |

Take your time and dont rush I thought i was going to be able to run through mine in 2 hours the first time and was i wrong so take a whole day and plan the alignment once your finished not when you think you will finish. |

Well she's done. No pictures yet. Really needs an alignment. It's scary to even drive. So far I'm sitting at 21" all around. Any idea how much it'll drop after alignment and break in? |

Over time it'll drop 1/4 to 1/2 inch, all depending on how you use or abuse it |

After alignment I plan on going through the paces. A little worried about the front CVs though. I feel like they're at a pretty bad angle. |

Alignment will bring it down some, then when it starts to settle in even more. With those two things going on you'll drop 1/2 inch at least or more over the next week or so CVs will be fine |

Remeasured today. I must have parked it somewhere weird because I'm at 22.5" up front and 21.5" in back. I NEED an alignment. Hoping that'll solve my CV and A-arm issues. Currently I have some contact issues, and the CVs are maxed. Worst case scenario, I pull out the clevis and plate until she settles. As of now, she's an expensive lawn ornament. ![]() Passenger side: ![]() ![]() Driver side: ![]()

Get an alignment ASAP. I made sure to get it aligned when I had it installed so that when I drove it home it would be good to go |

I scheduled it at my buddy's shop. I couldn't do it any sooner than tuesday since I NEED new tires. They were too bald. So for now she's been sitting in the driveway. Not worth stressing everything out. I'm out of school for the summer and I work close to home so it's no biggie to be without a vehicle for a few days. Besides, the girlfriend has a brand new Chrysler 200 S. She needs to put some mileage on it lol. Aside from that, I'm out on my boat most of the summer anyways. |
