| Post subject: | Transmission Shift Questions |
As some of you may know by now I am constantly searching for ways to improve gas mileage for myself in the KK and to help others out. The speed limits vary a lot by my neck of the woods so some additional information would be great to learn about and hopefully adapt my driving around. What I'd like to know now is under what conditions does the transmission upshift and downshift? Are these condition speed related, throttle position related, etc. I think if I find out a little more about this I might be able to help out my mpgs slightly. I'd appreciate it if anyone has this information. It's gotta be out there somewhere. Thanks in advance. |
