I've had a few separate requests from KK owners over the last couple weeks for a duplicate of the hood blackout decal found on the new Renegade and Arctic editions.

I'm trying to gauge interest and make a business case for it. Who's interested? Please answer the poll.

These would be priced at or close to $69 shipped, just like my JK and TJ Wrangler versions.

I guess the only color option would be black? Could anything be done in back carbon fiber?

It wouldn't let me vote on the poll, but I have been looking for the decal. I would want one.

Why don't you guys buy a $5 can of plasti-dip and spray your hood? It's cheep and can be removed. But that's probably to easy for everyone in here to figure out.

Because it looks like crap after not too long. It doesn't clean up well at all. Trust me i've been through it.

I think it's been established on this forum that the passive-aggressive attitudes should be kept to a minimum. Your solution is certainly an option, but how about trying to present your opinion in a nicer manner next time.

I am definitely interested and would probably be able to buy immediately. There was another thread about this by another user somewhere on here, but the interest seems to have dropped off there.

I think this would take off. Maybe not hundreds of sales a month but the hood decal seems to be a popular look and request.

When I showed my new Lib to my Pirate4X4 friend, the first comment he said was "I like that hood decal". That says a lot to me since he is one of the hardcore offroaders who built his crawler ground up, one of the original King of the Hammer guys  when they did it for bragging rights before it became a major offroad event. Another friend told me that some of the original WWII Willies had black hoods. So a big thumbs up to you pixeldzn, stoke the KK owners who want it too...

I couldn't vote but I've been looking at options for doing the hood on my KK also.

Any news on the hood decals for the KK. I'd definitely be interested.

I don't think there was enough interest to cover the cost. There is a place near me where my dealers body shop goes, if you want I can get the info. I started but didn't follow through. That's where they get theirs, no they don't put on the mopar one. I'll bet they charge the insurance companies for it though. I think the OEM one is $360 or so. WAY too much for a piece of sticky vynal.

I called my dealership and they wanted $350 for the Arctic one. If pixel is up for making some I'm in.

I have been Looking all over for a while for the Black Hood decal for the Jeep Liberty and in the end even tho it was not my first choice I decided to use Plasti Dip and do it my self. Not permanent because after a while I know it will start to deteriorate. I would just like to show my progress and also that I did manage to find the vinyl on ebay for this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vinyl-Hood-decal-graphic-decals-graphics-fits-2011-2012-Jeep-Liberty-/310360956675

To make the perfectly corners round I took a razor blade to it being careful not to damage the underlying paint.

That eBay listing is pretty tempting, although I have 3 cans of matte black plasti-dip in my garage, so I may just try this out after I get back from vacation :juggle:
