I've seen and heard of a few of the kk's with 15x7 cragar soft 8's with 3.75 backspacing. Im looking at getting a set myself that way i can run some general grabbers. I came across a set of 15x7 3.75 method standards that i am really wanting. Has anyone had any luck running 15' alloy rims? I can see where an alloy would have a thicker wall than the steel wheel which can make all the difference in clearance.

I tried to put some 15" alloys off a wrangler on mine. They wouldn't come close to fitting. You would have to have a thick spacer which would push your rims too far out.

Yeah I figured they be too small. I haven't actually seen how much space is in there with the steel 15's. But I know any alloy rim is going to have a lot less clearance just do to alloys being larger

Not necessarily, some of the 15" rims I tried fit and some didn't. it would depend how the metal was bent where it came off the bead. There is only 1" difference in diameter which means only 1/2" difference on the radius. Anything that rubbed for me was because of the lower ball joint threads. 3 3/4" backspace seemed to take care of that and it pushed the wheels out about 1 1/2". I never was fond of rims with negative offset anyway. :2cents:
I chose the Rock Krawler rims. They'll be put on when it's time for new tires, probable some time next summer.

Going with the u.s. wheel series 94 15x7 with 3.75 back spacing. With a nice new set of 31" general grabbers. One last bill to pay off and ill have them waiting at work for me
