Thoughts ; not good Comments ; First you'll need more than 2 inches of lift to run that size tire second you'll need to regear for that size tire If I were you, I'd paint the wheels if that is what you want and then save up until you can get a proper lift and tires that will work better than ones mentioned |

No way with only 2" of lift. You'll also have to regear for those. 245/70-17 would probably work. Remember, cheap is expensive when it comes to lifting vehicles. |

College student to college student, listen to them. Trust me going full spring lift is worth it. The ride alone is to kill for. Honestly, you mentioned a 2" lift, basically meaning the daystar. Correct? Unless prices changed that was about $200. Then you factor in shocks. Fronts will do(same length as stock, even when lifted), rears will be a must. So you add in another $200 or so for rears, and if you do choose to replace the fronts you're looking at another $200-300(Bilsteins, OME, etc). Puts you very close the price of a full spring/shock lift that gets more height and a better ride. Honestly, what year is your KK, and how many miles on it? I'm willing to bet it sagged at least a little bit(also a chance of having some bad shocks too, my driver side rear was blown at 26K miles). |

its a 2011 its got 65000 miles on it but thats just because of a frequent drive to indiana. i was just looking to upgrade to some better tires seeing as mine are just about bald... so i figured getting some m/t or a/t tires with possibly new wheels and a lift |

65000 springs are already starting to sag, if short on cash then just buy a good set of tires and drive it If you have the money for lift and tires then go for it |

Honestly, I don't know your financial situation. As a college student, I'm working about 30 hours a week on average in the food industry and making fairly decent money($10+ an hour). I also go to college full time with a 70mile round trip commute, so I was burning a tank a week. I was able to save, fairly quickly at that(month or 2), enough to do a full suspension lift and get a new set of tires. I went with a OME/Bilstein lift with 1/4" spacer plates, 3/8" clevis lift, and 2 extra rear isolators per side. I also opted for al's A-arms to help with spring contact and alignment. With that said, it cost me about $2,000 for everything, but I also installed the lift myself. Now, you can choose to go full suspension lift for about $700-750ish. That will get you OME springs and at least Bilstein shocks. If you choose to just do just springs/shocks for the time being, you won't need the a-arms(it is a wise choice if you have the money). Depending on the springs you choose, you should get about 2-2.5" of lift, at least. Then you can run 245/75-16(~31x~10") tires. I'm not sure what a similar size would be for 17" rims. If you decide you want to go higher than just the springs, you can add what I added for the extra height. It does add up. I'll try to measure tomorrow to see what I sit at to give an accurate measurement for you. |
