Hi everyone,
This is my first jeep and I didn't do too much to it.
This photo I took it 2 months after I bought the jeep
Image
I dipped the rims and love the look of it
Image
Then I added the roof rack and lights
Image
I own a small business and need access to computer so I built a laptop mount for myself for $5
Image
I love camping and outdoor activities so I mount awning for myself.
I got the awningfor $60 on ebay. It was those drop arm awnin, I just remove the arm and drill 2 holes so I can use the tent poles and tie it down.
Image
It works great except it's hard to setup on the beach. It's always windy and blow my awning away.so I came up with a solution
Image
I can setup my awning in 1 minute now.
Image
As you see in my first picture, I installed those LED DRL in my bumper. I love the way it look. It make the jeep look more luxury.:D
Image
However, it really bright at night and I got into trouble with the police :hammer:
Therefore, I made a small relay and it will auto dim the LED DRL when I turn on the headlight
Image
I made a cheap air intake for it with K&N filter. It sounds great. In addition I made the hood lift support because I work under the hood a lot.
Image
2 years after I got my jeep, I decided to lift it with OME kit with 1.25" spacers
Image
And install the tow hooks after that and paint that in red color.
Image
Image
The rim was damaged from offroading so I remove the dip and paint it black for real this time. It looks shinier than the old one.
Image
installednew tires with 265/50/r20 Nitto Terra Grapplerm A/T
Image
New LED step lights
Image
<a href="http://s80.photobucket.com/user/schoolarea2003/media/IMG_20130913_000726.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j198/schoolarea2003/IMG_20130913_000726.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20130913_000726.jpg"/></a>
I tested out my new LED roof lights.

More mods is on the way. CB, Skids plates and stuff...

Nice to see a build thread for the KK! Makes me think about making one for mine lol.

Definitely keep us updated with everything you do and of course pics. I'm especially curious about where you mount the CB in the future. I've been checking out a few KKs for ideas

What are you using for the amber fogs?
Been looking for some for a while, ...it is dumping snow right now here.

I swear I have seen somewhere that PIAA makes an amber bulb, H10 or something like that? Just can't seem to find them here.

I think those amber bulbs are just for show if I remember correctly.
You want yellow ones.

Seriously though, anybody know who makes YELLOW fogs for the KK? I have found the blue/white ones everywhere, but no yellow?

Well...As Gageraid metioned... It's for show...It just the LED bulb that show the really light. They do have the amber light bulb but they don't last more than a month than it somehow exploded and make a mess in my headlight... :banghead:

If you really want yellow light...I would go out HID light. brighter and use less power.
Just my :2cents:

Could you give more info on how you made the hood lift support? Thanks.

You could build your own from junkyard parts or buy this kit: http://www.jeep4x4center.com/hoodift-system-war905020.html
I used the Hoodlift kit on mine. It comes with good instructions, is easy to install, and all of the angles & strut forces are already figured out for you.

Post subject:  Re: Jet KK built

I will do it tomorrow :JEEPIN: As far as my plan for my jeep. Gonna get some power gear for camping...solar panel is in my mind. Still trying to figure out where I can mount the battery(s) so I can show off my jeep to my camping friends when we decided to go to a no water, no power camp site...CB radio soon and hopefully some skid plate. I am still saving money for the ATH bumper as I got the quote from him already. :seuss:

Just curious...what did you use/do to paint or dip the wheels?

I would like to black mine out a bit, but never thought about painting the wheels. Thanks! Brian

I used the black paint with primer from home depot and the clear coat on top. It looks better than the rim paint I got from pepboys. As you know paint doesn't last as long but it's a lot cheaper. :JEEPIN:

I will need to repaint mine soon. It from scratches from offroading... :dizzy:
