So I'm looking for some new wheels. I would really prefer to have the wheels be OEM from another Jeep vehicle.

I'm in love with the JK Rubicon wheels (both styles) but don't like the idea of running spacers after some stories that I've heard.

I also like the TJ MOABs, but when a set finally pops up, they are overpriced ($850 for set of 5 no tires was the last one up)

I came upon the Mamba (moab replica style) wheels on Quadratec. They come in 15, 16, and even 17 inch diameter. The 16 has 5" backspacing and the 17 has 5.25". Isn't that too much BS?

What say ya'll about these wheels? Has anybody here run them?

Thanks!

I run 255/70r16 6 inch wide Mamba rims on my KJ CRD and they fit fine with no clearance issues on the KJ. They look great as well and are very strong.

Dang thats expensive for used Moabs. I've been looking out for them here, they're usually less than $100 each on CL. The problem I have with them is they are 8" wide, a little too much for a 245 tire.

As for you backspacing question, stockers are 5.5", so 5" and 5.25" will kick out 1/2" and 1/4" respectively. Not sure if you're lifted and what size tire being run as that will come into play on what will work well for you.

With 3" my of lift, the wheel I'm looking for is a 16x7 with 4" of backspacing with 245 75 16 tires.

Mamba are cheap knockoffs, personally would wait and find a set of real MOABs much better made wheel if that is the style you want. The Mambas are cast not forged like the MOABs are Like mentioned above they are a wider wheel than what we need
I've seen sets going for 4-500 for 5 recently, not sure where the 800 comes from
