Interested in purchasing the RRO crossbars($99), adventure roof rack($199) and tire carrier($38). I just want to know if anyone has purchesed these as well and what kind of service they've had. I know RRO isn't known well enough for their lifts, so I'm kinda of septical about dealing with them. Thanks in advance!

You will need the roof rails first. I'm not sure if the cross rails are needed for the adventure rack or not.

I have the roof rails and I think they are great.

Yeah I just realized that I have the poopy/useless factory side rails that aren't raised upwards and that you cant even attached cross bars to. So I need new side rails first I guess? Any suggestions?

Both Rock Lizard Fabrications and AtTheHelm make good steel roof racks and side rails. AtTheHelm is a member on here and you could PM him. Mopar also sells the Jeep side rails, which IMO are plenty strong.

I have the Adventure rack on my RRO side rails (you 100% need them, don’t need the crossbars as mentioned).

They’re solid. I’m going to bedline them eventually since the paint isn’t holding up to abuse. Happy overall and had a fine experience with them (my rack/rails shipped within a week).

Consider the other rack though (I think it’s safari rack or something). The adventure rack is nice since it’s flat, but it’s a double-edged sword. Nice for putting on objects that won’t fit in a traditional basket, but then you’ll end up needing the sides of a basket and you won’t have them haha

I'll look into both their products, thanks! And yeah I actually found a site for the factory side rails that are raised, probably at a better price than the dealer would ask. http://www.justforjeeps.com/prstsira.html#reviews

Okay thank you for info on that! I want to also bedline whatever basket/roof rack I end up choosing. Also you're probably right, I will eventually need those sides of the basket, and I'm sure they come in handy for accessories (i.e shovel, axe etc.) Thanks again :)

I thought igloo's were in Alaska !
I live in Mi we could have them.
I have factory side rails I'm going to be replacing with Atthehelm's. Just as soon as it gets warmer.

I'd agree 100% to get Atthehelm's side rails, but I don't think he ships the rack that you assemble. Morgan correct me if i'm wrong, but you only sell the rack if it's picked up? You could always buy all the parts from Atthehelm and get someone to weld it together.

I'm going to get the crossbars from Atthehelm and get them welded to my RRO rack. RRO's prices are decent, its just the shipping thats expensive. You could buy the full rack from RRO and spend the same amount in shipping.

Also, enjoy removing those fake roof rails. They are easy to come off, but the goop thats left behind is a PITA! to remove. I ended up just leaving mine sit.

What do Atthehelm's side rails look like and what kind of price are they? And about the factory side rails, I know I've heard how bad they are to remove that crap left over! :(

PM him about what he has available. This thread above is just to get an idea of what they look like. The rails are the same, the only difference with RRO is that they are powder coated.

The side rails would be $100 plus shipping. I'm actually not building those racks anymore, but I do have plans for a design change in the future.
