Hi,
I am planning to lift my 2008 Jeep Cherokee/Liberty 3.7L (KK) and have finally selected the below two options.
I will need some help in deciding which one to go for since this will be the first time i will be doing it.

I have been offered the following.
(a) Ironman suspension lift kit for Jeep KK that give me a minimum 40mm lift.
(b) Dobinsons suspension lift kit for Jeep KK that also gives me a minimum of 40mm lift.
Pricing wise both are falling on the same area with the Ironman locally available and the Dobinsons having to be ordered in from Australia.
I would like fellow KK'ers who have any experience with the above lifts to give me the pros and cons on the suspension kits.
Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Nabeel.

Ironman doesn't make rear springs for the KK, but the rest of the components are top notch

I did check out their website and they do have a specific kit for KK and KJ. The rear springs could be the same for KK and KJ I suppose.

If you're going to ship from Australia I'd look at Murchison products. They make some cool stuff. Too expensive to ship to the US

The rear springs for the KK are definitely not the same as the rear springs for the KJ. Do you have a link to the page that is telling you this?

This is their Liberty catalogue: http://www.ironman4x4.com/html/jeep/25.html

Says springs and kits are only for KJs. You can run Ironman shocks, and front springs. You're just going to have to find different rear springs.

I know you're not in the US, so I don't know what shipping is like for you, nor what is readily available. I say go JBA 4" rear spings and make the Tommudd econo lift, or OME. Not sure how Ironman front and OME rear would ride...

Pretty sure there are a few Old Man Emu distributors in Dubai. I also know of someone who bought a set of my bumpers in Dubai but totaled his KK before they could be installed...

To the OP
I'd look for a OME dealer, they had some there or did have, thaat or Stus lifts are just as good or better since you may have to ship from Aus.

Yes, their catalogue online says coils are only for KJ's. I checked with their local retailer here and they said that they have an Ironman kit for the KK also.
Not sure what they meant, will go tomorrow to their place and check it out what they have for the KK.

In the meantime, I understand that you are running OME coils and Bilstein shocks/sturts on your KK.
Can you tell me how much lift did you get with this set up?
Can you also tell me the part numbers of your OME coils and Bilstein's?
thanks,
Nabeel

Dobinsons are based out of Australia. They have a kit for the KK. The link is below:

The OME springs will give you about 2.5 inches (~60mm) of lift

If you go with 927/731 springs(front and rear respectively) you'll get abour 2.5" of lift. Don't have part numbers for my Bilsteins, but I'm sure they're somewhere on this forum. As for my lift, I added a few extras to get about 3.5" of lift.

Thanks Bmxer524 for the info on the springs. I am finding it difficult to source the OME springs here in the UAE, still checking though! The KK is not a very popular 4x4 here in the UAE, so retailers don't stock aftermarket parts much. :(
I read through your earlier posts and see that you have mentioned the following part numbers for the Bilsteins.
Can you confirm the below?
Front: Bilstein 24-139168
Rear: Bilstein 33-185552

I got OME springs before they changed the part numbers. I have HD up front and MD in the rear. I also have a clevis lift, top plates, JBA A-arms, extra isos in the rear and extended rear sway bar links. I love the ride but I'm going to replace the rear Ironman shocks with the longer 4" Ironman shocks this summer since I added 2 extra isos per side
