Hello all, new Liberty owner here. Did a little project today that I wanted to show off. I decided to chop the resonator off and add a section of pipe and a tip. Pretty simple task. Just a matter of removing the resonator and clamping the pipe in. Sounds nice at start up. ![]()

Ill try to repost the pics tomorrow. I actually used the stock rubber hanger that the resonator attached to and I used a universal hanger and an exhaust clamp to attach to the the rubber hanger from the section of pipe I added. When i get the pics up you will be able to see it |

Welcome to the CLUB...and I did the same thing before, then I change the whole exhaust. It's "eco" mod...and it doesn't sound that bad at all...ESP in winter

Just the stock exhaust for now. Thinking about the super 40. I had one on my old Cherokee and it sounded really nice. |

i decided to remove mine too... well it gives just a little deeper tone, barely noticeable in the cabin and yes sounds nice at start up. was early yesterday in the woods in 4lo and you can really feel the little extra deep throaty sound, at least i maes you belive you have more power under the hood. no performance advantage with this mod |

That being said, it might make you more cautious or more aggressive now. |

Oddly enough my opinion is quieter is better when it comes to my Jeep merely for the fact I use it for deer hunting. My other vehicles are loud but in order to fill my freezer I gotta be quiet. |
