Try that first then. I can't recall if it was BCM ?or maybe ECM? at faulty in the others cases. Maybe PM Scar-o, he's the best electrical knowledge guy I think. |

Carlos I had near identical problems after trying to use the highbeam circuit to power a relay for my led light bar. I returned the wiring to stock and disconnected the battery for about 4 hrs and it fixed itself. Hopefully this works for you too. |

Def recommend the battery, and like Cherrie said, a PM to ScarO may be beneficial. He's a smarty pants. |

are they regular stock headlights? I know that after I installed my HID's the ground for comes loose sometimes after roading sometimes. Last time i went roadin I actually knocked something loose in my fog light harness. Can't get those back on now although it's been too cold up here to pull my headlights out. I'd check all grounds and connections. Something's probably loose from ur description. Same thing happened to me after I first installed my headlights. The battery's main ground was only partially connected meaning so the lights would come on for like a second and then turn off. Sent from my iPhone 5 |

No PM as of yet... Anyway. There is already some good advice posted above... If you have stock lights, check the wires for chafing. Here is what is going on; The TIPM will kill power to the headlights if it senses an over-draw, and sometimes will do the same with an under-draw. As in the case of HID connected directly to the headlight harness. On fire up, HID use a lot of power (BTW this happens quickly, so in that time you can fry the stock harness and even the TIPM! Just don't do it!), once lit however, HID use less current then the stock lights. Because of this the TIPM will do a "light check" causing the HID to flicker. If the TIPM can't figure out what is wrong, it will kill the power to the headlights to prevent a meltdown. There is no headlight fuse... So the only fail safe is the TIPM computer. |

What headlight bulbs are you running? I guess try the battery thing again. Any similarities between this time and last time they went out? |

stock bulbs. i think that light module went bad... jeep going to the dealer monday sad to say that the kk is the worst jeep i ever had regarding it's quality. so good i took the extended warranty. had a zj until it got 135k miles, only replaced and hand full of batteries and wiper motor. ac got bad around 130k miles. had a tj for couple years and nothing.... have a 98 civic with 110k had to replace under drive pulley and a transmission speed sensor... so far have a 08 ford scape 4wd v6 since new, 80k miles now.... not even a check engine light on...(replaced shocks and struts at 60k but for me that is part of maintenance) ..........so far. small list of problems i had with my kk. got it with 20k miles in 2011 1. ac gone. new compressor 2. purge valve went bad, locked the pcm the car and had to be towed to the dealer 3. heater element went bad 4. transfer case gear motor went bad 5. lost power steering. (new steering rack) 6. transfer case grease seal broke 7. radio clock looses time 8. now my head lights don't work........... what is next......????? only have 51k miles. |

Sorry your having issues. I can't offer any help. I have had only one of your issues- clock losing time. Which I don't consider an issue. Drove vehicles with a radio, now that sucks. Do you live in an area were mice/ rodents are? Could they have chewed a wire? |

well an update car been 3 days at the dealer and they cant really find the reason for headlights to blink and die, so they don't have other option than change the TIMP... cost for the repair $900+ labor.... so good i have extended warranty. |
