I installed my OME lift, but I have a couple questions... First, the rear springs are not the same size on both ends like the fronts and like the rear factory springs, one end is more open, so it does not look right sitting on the ISO, like it will contact metal on both sides... Next everything else seems fine, but there is a clanking or knock on the rear passenger side while driving, does not have to be a big bump, but you can hear it as you drive. I redid the sway bar thinking it was just not tight or right, but still hear the sound. I do not see anything out of sorts. What else can it be? |

Some people have had to add washers so the shock fits tighter in the mount. If not it will make noises from the play that is in there |

Sounds like you may have gotten KJ rear springs... |

Are you positive it's not coming from inside the Jeep? I found quite a few rattles inside my Jeep ever since installation. I've got most of them tracked down and fixed now. |

They are Bilstein 5125s, the long ones...and I did have to tighten the bolt so it basically squeezed the metal in on it...will hunt down some washers as looking again, that side does have a small gap so this may be my issue. And on the springs, they are from musclezmarinara so he ran them on his....BUT...I did some searching and sure enough he did list them on his build as 948 and 1 person said that is the part for a KJ...and nobody else said anything about it or replied to it...so they are in fact KJ springs...I have no idea how he ran them on his pimped out KK, they do fit but I can see this being an issue since its not as tight around the bottom ISO... |

I double checked and you're right. Those are KJ springs. Perhaps a Jeep God could confirm if this is a problem or can be okay to use?

Well the banging noise was the shock, Im good there, no more noises at all. Just got my alignment, took forever but they got it all lined up and it drives great now. Yes the springs are what he had on his, and they are 948, sticker was on there...I dont know how long he rode with them on his..I bet this is uncharted territory and nobody has tried to run them, but I know he drove with them for at least a year...I will be ordering a set of the KK rear springs, but I cant see or feel any issues right now with these on there, but its not worth worrying about and I will replace them. I will drive with them till I get the other springs..I really dont have a choice as its my daily driver. |

You can probably unload the KJ rears fairly easily. Lots of KJs lifting with OME springs and the 948s are the preferred rear springs... |

Mine still has a hollow sounding thump on bumps. I'm planning on taking it back soon to have them check it out. All bolts seemed tight. Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk |

Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk I'm going to be checking my for a rattle. I think it's rear shocks. It was checked over at dealer in Jan, nothing was noted. It's also only a few hundred miles from needing an oil change. Might see if I can handle it if my hands are as good has today I might. |

Rule out interior noises first like the NOTORIOUS rear seat belts. Tuck them in the seats. Also the rear cargo lid will produce a very hollow sound. I removed mine and that sound is gone as well. |

I won't speak for him, but I can tell you those springs are virtually new. You could always PM him. He comes on from time to time. Honest man that would tell ya whatever you might need to know. |

Pretty sure it's not rear seat belts (I had one on) and lid isn't in KK. I rode in the back seat a lot during my recovery, that's when I heard it. |
