So I'm debating changing my stock brake lines to extended brake lines, and was wondering how easy it is to do it myself? And I'm going on the LOST Jeeps Moab trip in three weeks so I'm going to have to pull the trigger here pretty quick |

Removing the rear brake lines in the service manual shows removing the whole line (hard line and jounce hose). I haven't taken a close look at the hook that holds the junction of hard line to jounce hose, but you might be able to separate it there. Otherwise, you have to cut and flare the tube. |

So Im 90% sure that our KK's use the same brake kits as the jeep wrangler (97-current) I started my research a little late but my dad order a lift for his 97 wrangler and the brake lines that it cam with for the rear are identical to the brakes lines that I got from JBA, and right after I had my trip and installed them I went to the jeep dealer and looked at the already done up JK's and sure enough they look identical to our stock brakes accept for the parts where the connect to the hard lines. (the JK brake line kits are much cheaper than the JBA's kit) |
