| Post subject: | Tailgate wont open |
Hey guys. My rear hatch, tailgate door won't open. It was fine when I got my 2010 KK, then it slowly started to have problems, and now it wont open at all, and I need to change a break light before I get pulled over. I did some search on the interwebz and can only find the reference to the KJs having the problem and the description of the inside panel doesn't sound the same as what I am looking at in my Jeep. It doesn't sound like the lock is moving when I try and unlock it. Anyone know how I can get this thing opened so I can change my lightbulb and possibly get this fixed. |

there is a small hole on the back of the latch, you can open using a flat screw driver. that is how you can open the rear door from the inside. i will take a pic for you later on |

Got it sorted out thanks. Now I have to find a new motor for the locking mechanism. |
