My wife and I purchased an 08 sport with sky slider 54k miles. We went on vacation and the roof stopped going forward, would make a clicking noise however it would still go back. Now the roof will not go back as it appears that the passenger side cable has broke. I have been searching for threads or anything showing the removal so I can look and try to find a blowout view or something so I can figure out what parts to order to fix it. I am afraid to take it apart and not be able to put it together in case of rain and we do not have a home with a garage so it will be outside. The roof is currently taped in the front since it will not draw shut. Any help or advice as to what to do would be great as far as parts to order and how to see about uninstall and reinstall. Thanks in advance |

I believe there is a manual way to shut the skyslider. I remember seeing something in the forums about using either a Phillips head or like a T10 screwdriver in a panel behind the center bar in the roof to manually drive the motor. Try searching for "skyslider" and "manually close" Sent from my iPhone 5 |
