I had my right two brake calipers stick within 150 miles of each other and now my rear left has stuck within another 500 miles. Is anyone else having this problem? 2008 kk 124k Midwest vehicle that has been exposed to salty roads I thought that this problem occurred independent of one another but now I'm concerned because it has happened on 3/4 of my brakes? Thoughts? Ideas? Input? Others having this happen? Thanks |

Ever have the brake fluid flushed? Between salt and ABS(aluminum parts) brake fluid is maybe good for 2-3 years. |

2nd owner. Known fb take fluid change at 84k. 100k and when the first one stuck at 124k. Over about two and a half years. Would an excessive amount of mud or sand lead to this. Mostly interstate driver and car became second vehicle. Not daily driver. |

I just had my passenger rear caliper start bearing it's metal teeth into the disk over the weekend, the guy at les schwab said it could be a bad caliper but it was only over the phone, but if it is I hope that jeep will cover it |

just replaced mine yesterday. Ever since 20k miles my rear driver side caliper would randomly start sticking. It would always happen in the summertime when it was really hot. After going through 2 sets of rear pads without ever changing the fronts, which still are at about 50%, I discovered that the piston wasnt retracting back into the hole. Even with vice grips, the thing just would barely budge. New caliper solved the problem. Cost about $40 + $20 core deposit. Took me about 3 hours start to finish. Sent from my iPhone 5 |

Did you have to bleed the brakes when you changed the caliper? |

All 3 of mine were still in spec. Both the discs and pads. |

Did you have to bleed the brakes when you changed the caliper? Yes you absolutely have bleed the brakes since you're disconnecting the brake line in order to swap out the caliper. I only bled the caliper I changed, however, some would suggest you should just flush out all 4 brakes when you swap out a caliper. Beyond that it's fairly simple. Everything's been running perfect since I did the swap Sent from my iPhone 5 |
