What does it do for the kk? For style?

That would certainly be a secondary benefit. I'd be interested in eliminating the internal release.

It would look cool.
Personally, I like the security of an internal latch release. If I were to do this, I'd also keep the stock catch/release.
I don't like it when strangers can randomly decide they want to have something from under my hood.

I wouldn't do it. Hood flutter is really annoying on the interstate
