The time has finally come, I will be installing OME springs, Bilstein shocks, top plates and extra iso in the back. New UCAs as well.

I have read write ups, watched youtube vids, etc.

I just wanted to know if anyone had done theirs lately or when they did wish they did this or that a bit differently to make things go a bit more smoothly.

The UCAs is the one I hear the most complain about, so any helpful hints here would be great.

The UCAs are easy...............except for that left side rear bolt, make sure you have plenty of extensions and a good swivel to reach back in.
Other than that if you read through , have the tools, jacks, BFH, etc its fairly simple
Always someone around to help on line or somewhere, had plenty of people call me half way through a lift with questions over the years

For A-Arms: Get a breaker bar/pipe small enough to fit in the engine bay for the UCAs, get as many extensions/swivels as you can for the driver side UCA.

Otherwise, a good breaker bar and PB blaster should suffice. If you have an impact, it will make it a lot easier. Also watch out for the upper ball joint breaking loose prematurely and spinning with the nut.

Use a pry bar and press the ball joint into the knuckle to seat the ball joint preventing spinning.

I had the same thing happen. If you are replacing the A-Arms, just grab the ball joint with vicegrips to keep it from spinning. If you are keeping the stock A-Arms, you are going to have to put enough pressure on the taper so it doesn't spin.

Nice, thanks guys. That makes sense. Problem was really that threads on the nut are messed up and not threading causing it to spin. Gonna try to find a new nut that size and try your advice.
