Are they 17s off a 07-present JK? If so, they need adapters. KKs use a 5x4.5 lug pattern, JKs use a 5x5. If they're 16s off a TJ/LJ they will fit.

As for how they sit, I'm not exactly sure. They should be pretty flush with the flares. Tom would know better. Also might have some rubbing issues depending on the tire size if you aren't lifted.

Tons of them out there at a cheap price since not many can use that size/ bolt pattern
Cheap doesn't always mean a good deal though

Off the top my head, not an all encompassing thread. But, as long as the rims are a 5x4.5 bolt pattern with center bore size of 71.5mm and you keep it 16" or higher you'll clear your lower ball joints on the knuckle. BUT you can get 15"s is you get a 15x7 with 3.75(or less) backspacing.

Ideally you're looking at at 16x7 with 4.5"-5" backspacing. Many run 16x8s due to lack of options in the 16x7 categories. Both you'll want to run 4.5"-5" backspacing.

Basically that. 16x7 seems to be more popular with steel wheels. It's hard to find those specs on alloys. If 7" wide, 4" of backspacing will put you even with the flare. 5.5" is stock.

16x8 can work, but you need to be careful with backspacing. 4.5" of backspacing will sit similar to a 7" wide with 4" of backspacing. It'll be even with the flare. Now if you want to run a 8" wide rim, you need to look at tires that are AT LEAST 245 wide. And 265 would be better.

All that said and done, most of these numbers are for lifted Libertys. If you want the wheel to stick out more, you need to lift otherwise you'll have some rubbing.

This is one of the only threads I know about with rim specs and pics:
