Installed an OME lift a few weeks ago and on right hand turns at quicker speeds there is an audible pop coming from what seems like the LCA or that area. Everything's torqued and tight. LCA or R&P bushings? LCA ball joint? There doesn't seem to be any play in the steering. I torqued the LCA bolts yesterday and the popping stopped, but driving over some rough road the next day, the noise came back. Any insight?

09 KK 99,000 miles on the jeep, not even 300 miles on the lift, running 255/70/r16 tires, pinch weld mod

Could your spring be not on the perch all the way? What I mean is that the perch has a "stopping point" for the end of the coil to brace on and if it's off of it by even a 1/4" it could be causing this issue.

I currently have a similar issue! :furious: it seems that my shocks are blown out. they pop rattle and rub.

Hopefully this helps!

I don't think his issue is dead shocks since he just installed an OME lift which gives you new springs and shocks. Possible that he DID get a defective shock though, but hopefully that was noticed during the strut assembly.

Jack up that side and grasp the wheel and try to move it to see if there is play. If you get 12:00-6:00 movement, I would be looking at the ball joints. 9:00-3:00 I would suspect the tie rods. Of course this assumes all the bolts from the lift install are good and tight, and they were tightened to the correct torque with the weight of the Jeep on the ground.

M did you replace the upper control arms? Mine loosened a bit after putting some miles on it. They make some noise. They also need to be tightened while the front tires are on the ground
