Hey everybody, I've been away from the boards for quite some time, but life is finally "slowing down" a bit...thankfully!

I have a question, & I'm sorry if this has already been addressed and/or this is in the wrong forum. I am looking to get some new tires for my '12 KK Sport. I mostly drive on regular roads, some light off-roading (nothing too hardcore unfortunately), & want to go up in tire size from stock size.

I want to get bigger tires essentially, but I do not want to put a lift kit on my Jeep yet. Does anybody have any clue how large of a tire you can use w/o lifting? Also, any recommendations for a particular brand/company of tire? I have looked a little bit here & there lately, & really liked some of the Richard Cepek tires that I've seen & the reviews all look pretty good.

Thanks in advance for your help, glad to be back, hope that everybody had a great Christmas, etc!!

-Kenny.

Honestly if your suspension hasn't sagged much, you could possibly get by with 245/75/16's. I'm running 235/75/16's at the moment without any issues with plenty of space to have gone larger, and my jeep is sans lift right now.

As far as brand preference, I've had EXCELLENT luck with my Hercules Terra Trac AT2's. I was in the market for a good all around tire that can handle the moderate offroading when needed and snow/ice in the upper midwest. There wasn't any increase in road noise with the tires, and no hits to my MPG. Just my :2cents: worth.

Thanks for your help...I'm still under warranty for another four years, so I don't want to mess with the suspension too much by lifting it, etc. But, I do want the look/feel of bigger tires under my Jeep though. I'll take a look at those tires, I'm not too familiar with them by name, but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

here is a good referance site to compare sizes...http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tireca ... -235-70r16
I have read on here that most people are going with 245/70s that tire size is the same hight as stock but a bit wider...
