Any pictures are welcome!

I've seen a KJ snorkel, but not one for a KK. I've also seen several KJ's on LOST with Pontiac GTP hood louvers. I imagine if you could get your hands on hood louvers from a 5.9L ZJ, they would work as well. I believe John3:16 and Tommudd are running hood louvers. A hood scoop would be a first, I think.

Texasrugby just installed louvers on his kk. They don't look half bad.

Jeepin_it_real had them too. I know most that have them like them. They let the heat out of the engine bay.

Installed mine last Friday and absolutely love them.

I had to take a trip across Texas today and noticed the coolant temp was marginally cooler than normal. It ranged from 171.4 - 184.6. Before the louvers she ran around 195 - 200. That temp is with my fan clutch running around 3.5K RPM.

The install didn't take but a few hours, and I really think the longest part was positioning them just right, mine turned out pretty great if I do say so my self [:

I have the GTP Pontiac lovers which work great , been on 5-6 years have installed 4 or 5 sets of them on KJs
Buddy has a set like Texas's above has issues with water shorting out the plugs when it rains , tired new coil packs etc still same issue
So be careful where you install them

Nice kk! the vents look nice. my idea was a horizontal vent 3 inches from the rear of the hood. im still in the process of finding a durable vent. i.e not plastic or tape. only metal and screwed in to place.
and somehow attach a damper attached to a motor to close the vent when its wet out or not needed.

Sounds like you're trying to set up an old school cowl induction kind of thing. I think they used to be cables. I know my dad used to disconnect it on his 72 Chevelle when it rained.

I had no idea what a cowl induction vent was, thanks for that. that seems like a more stealth and cleaner mod then my idea. mine was just to chop out a 3"X20" rectangle on the rear of the hood and insert a grille. theres one of that size I found but its chrome plated and way to pricey. I want to spend under $150 for the mod. what ever grille I get, it will be the color of my side trim which is camo tan.

Most all cowl inductions were vacuum operated
