I normally hang out in the crd section but the GF has a 2011 KK that is having issues. If she accelerates from a stop to 65-70 every thing is fine. If she is already doing 55 -60 and goes to accelerate it shutters bad and will most of the time eventually go away as it accelerates. Only codes are cylinder 1misfire. I'm about to throw a set of plugs in it to see if it does anything. It has 74k on it. It also had a new transmission put in at at around 60k fwiw. Any ideas out there?? Thanks!!

When was the last time the plugs were replaced?
Stay with OEM plugs and it will most likely solve your problem.
If the plugs don't solve it, the next option that won't break the bank is getting a new injector for that cylinder.

If your ignition coil is causing issues, if you move it to a different cylinder the misfire code will follow. I'd try that if new spark plugs and a bottle of fuel injector cleaner doesn't fix the issue.

I would have never thought 1 bad plug could make it run that bad!

You might not notice this Winter, but when it warms up, you may see .5-1mpg gain from the fresh plugs.
