To save a ton of coin, go to http://www.car-part.com and pretend you have a 2010 Commander or Grand Cherokee with the 4.7. You can probably find a lightly used, low mileage throttle body near you, or get one shipped. |

Seems right to me. Too much money. A used 4.7L throttle body should be less than $100. |

I would rather throw on a new part on my jeep. the jeep is at 25k miles and I threw a part triple those miles on it. it already shows signs of wear an tear. that's just me though, im a cheep parts person, but when it comes to reliability, I buy genuine new. im going to call the seller and see if he could give me a discount and if not ill send it back and buy a genuine new TB. no one else has had an issue with their used TB on here, but my luck of the draw, I get a TB that screams under load. I already put the old TB and tools needed to replace the 4.7l TB when it fails. and yes, if you pay over $100 for a used TB, go somewhere else. mine was $90 total. others have had better luck in getting theirs for dirt cheep. it just makes the payback period go by faster. |
